Typography + Print + Craft
This is a poster design I created to represent the life and design of Alvin Lustig. Lustig was an architect, interior designer, industrial designer, and graphic designer in the 1950’s. He began to go blind when he was only in his late thirties because of health problems with diabetes, but he kept designing even in the midst of this. I created this poster with both visual and physical representations of braille, by printing the dots on the paper and then physically punching the braille into the paper, so that it tells the story of Lustig’s life through both sight and touch (the braille reads “Alvin Lustig”).
