A lil’ bit about Chelsea

Chelsea is a designer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma who specializes in UX/UI, branding and print design. She has always loved creative problem solving, organizing things and helping people, which is why she was drawn to graphic design—because she sees it as the combination of these things.

When she is not hidden behind a computer screen, she loves playing ukulele, getting coffee with friends, running long distances (9 half marathons and 1 full marathon down so far!), or going on adventures outdoors. Even in her personal life she is driven & deeply empathetic, and there are few things she loves more in this world than a sharing a bowl of popcorn, hanging out with her golden retriever Gryffin, and curating a playlist for every mood.

My Career Journey

She graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2019 with her BFA in graphic design, and is currently working as a freelance graphic designer in OKC. She loves empathizing with users and creatively problem solving to design the most intuitive and aesthetically pleasing experiences for everyone.

After starting out as an intern-turned-full on designer at OSU, she spent 3.5 years at InterWorks. Here she had the privilege of working on website designs, data visualizations, digital product designs, and branding for a vast portfolio of different companies including Nike, Heartland, Chickfila, BBC global, Instacart, Mercedes, Johnson & Johnson, NHS UK, Mckinsey, and many more. All of these projects helped her to hone her UX/UI and product design skillsets and grew her understanding of the tech+data world as well as how to build strategy for clients that led to better designs. From here she went on to manage projects and lead UX efforts at a NY-based consulting firm called Wise Wolves, where she helped clients create intuitive Salesforce experiences that solved their business needs.

From April 2024 to January of 2025 she was the sr. designer on the marketing team at Medefy Health. Here she collaborated with the sales, CS and product teams to expand the company’s brand by building a visual system, and creating assets+collateral that stayed consistent with that system, in order to draw in new customers as well as build brand trust with existing clients. She worked on a myriad of different projects in her time here, including powerpoint decks, social media posts, email layouts, sales sheets, whitepapers and website designs. She also worked as an art director for the junior and contract designers she collaborated with.

In January of 2025 an unexpected shift in her career opened up the opportunity to seek out new projects and collaborate with new clients and she is excited to see what the future holds!
