IW Capital Website+Data Dashboards

This project involved branding, website design and a digital product design. The goal of these visualizations is to display financial data in a modern and user-friendly way, and you can see the visual hierarchy, typography, and color choices I made to create consistency, clarity and a better user experiences overall with these datasets.

Dashboard designs: Showcasing the product and using small brand elements to create cohesion and more uniquely market the features and functionalities of both Tableau and Curator to customers.

Custom dashboard selections: These dashboards had layers of information which users were able to sift through by making selections and seeing how the charts updated accordingly.

Custom filters: As mentioned above, when dealing with complex datasets, it’s crucial to find an intuitive way to organize the information using filters, selections and dropdowns so not all of the information is present at one time, overwhelming users. Instead, when they are given options they feel empowered to make choices and only see the data that they are interested in.

The process behind the designs: This is the original dashboard I was sent by an analyst(top) and the re-designed version I created (below) - focusing on making the hierarchy of information clear, creating more white space so it feels less cluttered, and aligning it with the rest of the brand/site’s styling. A crucial piece of the puzzle when working with data visualization is making sure that color and scale are used with intention to indicate something to the user, and sparingly so they direct the eye around the page.
